Not sure what to say?

As the years and events pass on, the loss of a friend of Jim's compassion and principled scholarship is felt even more. Our family will continue to cherish his memory. Family of Robin Eastman-Abaya

Jim's innovations and willingness to communicate with others will last as an important legacy for other academics. What Jim started on the web in 1994 will only serve as a model for many in the future.

I will miss his kind and inspirational banter.

I never met Jim, but I always had the deepest appreciation for his work, and felt tremendous gratitude for his websites. He made so many primary texts available to students and teachers all over the world. He inspired me to teach a course called "Gender and the Cultures of U.S. Imperialism," which was one of the best teaching experiences of my life. I send my condolences to his family, and I am so sad that the world has lost this important and generous scholar.

My condolences to family and friends. Jim was a mentor, friend and an inspiration... and will continue to be.

Jim Zwick was a good friend to our family both in Syracuse and in the Philippines and a wonderful scholar of the early US anti-imperialist mass movement which involved the great American writer, Mark Twain. It is a sad loss of such a fine person.

Jim was a wonderful friend and will be greatly missed in the Mark Twain world. My sincerest condolences to his family.

Jim was a wonderful person and a major presence in Mark Twain studies. He will be missed.

Mr. Zwick's initial inclusion of my name on his list of Mark Twain Impersonators about a dozen years ago when he was administering the About.com site helped validate what has become more than a hobby. So, I thank you, Jim Zwick.

I have lost a dear, dear friend in Mark Twain studies. I had the utmost respect for all of Jim's endeavors and will miss him greatly. My condolences to his family.
