Not sure what to say?

Aunt Jimilu sculpted a bust of my sister Susie for my parents when Susie was about 14. So nice, so well done in her special style and its still admired today by Sue's daughters. Her personality was so comfortable to be around and she owned every room she walked into - people enjoyed her company.

Aunt Jimilu, I will never forget your visits in Saratoga to see us and visit your step mother Patty. You helped me learn 3D in sculpting in about 15 minutes - I was in awe of you and all your talents. I have many pictures and correspondence from you to my grandmother and will always treasure you. Gods blessings to you.

Her bust of Justice Thomas M. Cooley is on display in the lobby of WMU-Cooley Law School in Lansing, MI: https://info.cooley.edu/blog/a-tale-of-two-toms-how-wmu-cooley-law-school-aquired-two-bronze-likenesses-of-its-namesake?success=true

Jimilu was always very kind to me. When I was Executive Director of the Festival Center and director of the Servant Leadership School, a ministry that grew out of the Church if the Saviour, Jimilu would stop by and we had a grand time laughing. Often I would help her with her computer. I was amazed that I was friends with such an accomplished artist! She was down to earth, concerned about justice and the welfare of others! I will miss her dearly. God's blessings!

We loved Jimilu and were members with her for a few decades at Church of the Savior in Washington's D.C. While we were there, she did a life size sculpture of the Teaching Christ which is outside the Festival Center on Columbia Road, and Jesus Washing Feet and Healing, a life size sculpture in front of Christ House also on Columbia Rd.
One of our favorite sculptures of hers (besides Cabriole in front of the Courthouse in Old town Alexandria) is The Prodigal Father of which we own a...

To Bianca, I was saddened to read about the loss of your dear sister. Please accept my deepest sympathy. I am pleased to tell you that I own two of Jimilu's sculptures. I treasure them. I have lovely recollections of her and how fortunate for all her friends and admirers that she left such an extraordinary body of work.
With love and fondest memories, Anadel Rich
