Mom, your strong, influential, and witty Spirit lives on in the many family members you left behind. You had an abundance of common sense and wise counsel that I already miss. Your artistic abilities in sewing; oil painting; gardening skills; and excellent cooking, prove you were a Mom with many creative talents. While Jimmie Lou was staying with her daughter and son-in-law, Dona Lou and Arvle Hix, we would visit and we have many fond memories of her humor and ability to banter; and, she could fix a mess of black eyed peas that would melt in your mouth. Having known her for over 50 years, I found her to be a lovely lady and we will miss her very much.

Jimmie Lou was my Mother-in-law and good friend for over 56 years. She will be missed.
