James David Bartnik III was born on October 1, 1987 in Fort Polk, Louisiana to Kris Long and James Bartnik Jr. He passed away on February 27, 2023 at the age of 35.
James or as to everyone who knew him, Jimmy was loving, kind and caring person. He was one of those guys that whenever someone needed help, he was always there to lend a helping hand. He was a loving son, wonderful brother and a great uncle. He was very close to his family especially his mother, he was always checking in on her. He also loved to make people laugh and had a fondness for pulling pranks on his family members with the help of his little brothers and nephew.
Jimmy had many joys in his life but the three things he loved the most were sports, his family and his dog Marley. He loved all types of sports but especially football and basketball. His favorite football team was the Denver Broncos but that was no shock to anyone because he was always wearing some type of Denver Bronco apparel whether it was a jersey, t-shirt, hoodie, or hat. He loved watching football on Sundays with his mother, stepfather and brothers. His favorite basketball team was the Los Angeles Lakers. His family meant the world to him. He was the favorite uncle to his nephews and niece. He loved hanging out with all of them, whether it was watching Disney movies, playing baseball outside and even taking a drive to McDonalds to treat one of them to a happy meal. And about 2 ½ years ago, he adopted his dog Marley, she was his little buddy, wherever he went she was right beside him. She was his best friend.
Jimmy touched so many lives and will truly be missed not only by his family but also by his friends and the people who knew him.
Jimmy is survived by his mother, Kris Long (Thomas) of Blythe CA, father, James Bartnik Jr. (Melinda) of Blythe CA, sister, Ashley Covello (Patrick) of Folsom CA, brothers, Joshua Bartnik (Yessika) of Indio CA, Samuel Long of Long Island NY and Caleb Long of Blythe CA, his niece and nephews, Aiden, Jameson, Scarlett, and Greyson.
