Jimmy was a true American Hero and will be missed. I had the pleasure of meeting, working and socializing with Jimmy and his family while assigned to the FBI in El Paso. He was a true friend and someone who you could depend on anytime. Here's a poem my Dad left us when he passed away:

My wife and I had the pleasure and honor of staying and working on Jimmy Bowens' ranch in 2010/2011. We were in need of some good luck, and Mr Bowen provided it. We got to experience some of the genuineness of a " Real Dyed in the Wool cowboy" in Jimmy Bowen. Visiting at his home, having some of his homemade dinners, or working cattle, it was a real-life experience I am so very glad I had the chance to live.
