Not sure what to say?

Remembering Jimmys legacy and contributions to the UMC . Prayers surround you and your family during this time of reflection and remembering of his life.

,,I am so sorry to hear of his passing. All of you were such great friends of my family in Meridian Ms. and I have many great memories of times with you all. I am so sorry for your loss.

Dearest Joy and Family, I don't know if you remember us, but , we lived right next door to you in Pascagoula from 1972-1974. At the time, we had two son's, Billy and Michael. My husband, Bill was in new submarine construction at Ingalls shipyard. We have thought of you often and just today looked online to see if we could find anything about your family. I am so sorry to read about Jimmy. Our memories of living next door are some of our most cherished. Please know that your family will be...

It is hard to believe, but we are thankful for the wonderful memories. I will be forever grateful for the love Uncle Jimmy gave to our children.Remember us in heaven, Jimmy. Love to all his family- To my niece and nephews, take good care of your mother.

I am both shocked and sad to learn of Jimmy's death. He always led with a good spirit, integrity, and steady vision, as a Christian educator, a deacon, and an administrator. When the order of deacon was established, he helped us to gain acceptance and to interpret the order to the UMC. He was gifted in leadership, negotiation, and vision. We are so much stronger because of Jimmy. Thank you, Jimmy! And my sympathy to Joy and all of Jimmy's family.

Joy,
We will all miss Jimmy's joy and integrity. He was always reaching out to include others; he always had good things to say about others, and he sought to bring people together. Your friendship and his has meant much to us. Know you are in my prayers.
Blessings

Joy,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I have many wonderful memories of first getting to know you and Jimmy during the years we all served as Christian Educators and Diaconal Ministers in the Mississippi Conference, enjoying the fellowship of our MS CEF chapter and sharing experiences at National CEF Conferences. Jimmy has been such a great leader in our United Methodist Church and a friend and mentor to so many. He will surely be missed. May God's loving presence...
