Read MoreDear family of Jimmy Cryer, I have known Jimmy since 1979 when I came to work at APS. We measured poles together in Bisbee. He was always a pleasure to be around and such a nice person. I have never known a more gentle and caring man than Jim. He was also one of the most dedicated and hard workers for fandom ever. He was especially proud of his beautiful, sweet, and smart daughter Lisa, whom I was privileged to have as a student at Tumbleweed Elementary School where I was her librarian. He will be sorely missed and is irreplaceable. Jim was taken from us much too soon.
