Not sure what to say?

What a beautiful treasure to find Jimmy Dowell leading the choir in "The storm is passing over", online...thank you Jesus!

I was channel surfing this Sunday morning as I did not go to church. I was on YouTube and at some point I saw the name Jimmy Dowell and St James Missionary Baptist Church. I said I wonder if that´s Jimmy Dowell from my hometown Muskegon. Everyone knew Jimmy Dowell around town. He was at every church event that I attended back then. I sat and watch several videos of Jimmy Dowell. It blessed my soul today! May Jimmy Dowell memories live on! I will see him in the Rapture!

I discovered Jimmy Dowell directing the Detroit Mass Choir singing "The Storm Is Passing Over" Jimmy is simply amazing with his director techniques. I so much wish I had a chance to meet him. Right now I watch him a lot. I just found out he is no longer with us. I tried to find out as much as I could about him since he was most impressive. What a great man! May his soul forever rest in peace! ♥

I love your musical arrangement and your style of directing. I am learning to say out loud "thank you" for spiritual gifts such as you gave: "The Storm is Passing Over" is a gift that keeps on giving forever! See you in the morning... BLESSINGS to you and your loved ones. À

Your work with The Detroit Mass Choir sing The Storm is Passing is a favorite. You will be missed.

Rest in peace my brother love working with you at Saint James

My heart is filled with sadness yet fond memories of "The Master Conductor" Jimmy R. Dowell. I've admired his musical talents for years. I had the privilege of meeting him personally. He possessed a warm and spiritual demeanor. Continue to put your trust in the Lord, for He never fails!

May God give you the comfort you need in your time of sorrow.

JD, was my friend. I will miss him. The, music of the late Rev. Charles H. Nicks Jr. and Jimmy Dowell, will forever be with me. I had the pleasure of enjoying him at a musicians dinner in September.
