Not sure what to say?

I love you grandpa Jim. I miss you! Your bear.

I remember Jim telling me one time that he used to be a Highland Park Policeman. As always, Jim had the best self deprecating humor. He mentioned that with his ears, freckles and red hair, he didn't get taken too seriously so he took a change in profession. I kept thinking what a loss it was to any profession that lost him. Jim gave so much of himself to teaching. There was a student in my class that had decided to quit school early. Jim reached out to her and said he would pick her up and...

I think of Jim all the time! Being the coordinator of a ladies' hiking group, I'm in the woods all the time and what I've learned from Jim about wild animals - and especially snakes - goes with me every day. And his sense of humor! I have such fond memories of volunteering at the Living Materials Center and all the crazy animal adventures (and misadventures) we experienced. I will always remember and be thankful for crossing paths with Jim!

Jim was my Physical Science teacher in 1977. He was the only teacher I ever had that gave me the love for a subject I had no interest in. He excited you about learing and I have never had a teacher like him again. The work he did with the living center showed his care and compassion for life. He will be missed by all that knew him. Mr. Dunlap and family,
I saw him many times as a child growing up in the 80's and 90's in Plano. I always loved having him in our school along with Katy. He made so many things come alive for us. God rest him.

I was just trying to find Jimmy on the internet to tell him his favorite high school Biology teacher, Ted Sherrill had passed away and saw where Jimmy has already passed away. I was in the band at MHS with Jimmy and later worked with is dad Junior at University Park. I know everyone misses him. So sorry for his family's loss.

I love you uncle Jimmy we miss you so much. One day we will all be reunited again.

He was truly an inspiration to so many young children. He inspired us all to be loving, caring, kind people. He will be reatly missed but never forgotten. Thank you to his family for allowing him to share his knowlede with so many, and seek confort in knowing how much he inspired those around him.
Thoughts and prayers go to you all.
