Coach Everett was my track coach 1977-78 at Leon High School. Although I could never run the quarter quite to his satisfation, he still kept me on the team. He would often say that the race does not end at the finish line, but when you stop running, never give up. Run through the finish line. His philosiphy influenced many adverse situations in my life. His infuence was greatly felt and his presence will be sorely missed.

I want everyone to know that Coach Everett was a true gentleman and a role model to the young people at Leon High School. He was a good and kind man who carried himself in an upright and virtuous way. I trusted him and always knew he cared about me and the students he was...

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome...
