Not sure what to say?

Rest in peace, Jimmy. You were a good friend.

Memories are the best medicine for our lives. God knows us and our 'real' needs and provides His love first, then the love of family and friends. I wish I had understood that many years ago, but His timining is perfect and I get it now! Miss seeing and talking with you. I pray you are well and would love to catch up soon. My email is [email protected] and cell is 572-3400. Love, Bob Miller

To the family of Jimmy Hargrove; Thank you for being a friend to me. Thank you for the wisdom and knowledge. From one Marine to and other, Semper Fi Mac! He's serving with the Lord! God Bless his family.

I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of Elder Jimmy! We remember him so vividly working to make sure that we were informed voters in our city and civic organizations! I will NEVER forget his ALWAYS being able to wear his uniform at any given moment that is was called for. I will miss his wisdom and ability to keep us aware of our heritage and history! Be encouraged and receive the comfort of the Lord during this time Sis. Cheryl, and family! Tramita and I love you all dearly!

What an honor to have known such a great person, one who lived for honor always. I met him at One Life Fitness in Va. Beach and considered him a friend and mentor. What an inspiration to all who knew him and had the pleasure of being in his company. Accept my sincere sympathy to you and your family. He will be missed.

I didn't know Mr. Hargrove or about the Marines of Montford Point, but as a Twenty Year Navy Veteran i would like to thank him and the other black men and women, who pave the way for me and others like me when i joined the military back in 1982..from me and my family or four you have our condolences..May he rest in peace and be with the Lord..
