Mr. Jimmy Scott Hickerson

Scott Hickerson, 42, of DeWitt died Wednesday, October 25, 2017.  He was born on September 16, 1975, in Stuttgart to Jimmy and Peggy Burton Hickerson.     Scott worked as a deer processor and owned Hicks European Mounts.  He was a very artistic person, and had a green thumb.  Wherever he lived he almost always had a big garden.  Every fall he would have something to enter in the Arkansas County Fair, and usually he would win the Sweepstake for whatever category he entered.  He always enjoyed getting to go hunting and fishing.   He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Hickerson; his grandparents, Holly and Cassie Hickerson and Helen Burton; and his brother in law, Kyle Hargrove.   Scott is survived by his son Cole Hickerson of Sherwood; his mother Peggy Hoover (Gary) of DeWitt; his brother Jason Self of Gillett; his sister Cassie Dardenne (Sam) of DeWitt; two nephews Mason Hargrove and Carter Dardenne; one niece Hallie Jo Hargrove;  grandfather Richard Burton; and many other family and friends.   Funeral services will 10:00 October 28 at Essex Funeral Home with burial in Hockenberry Cemetery by Essex Funeral Home.
