JIMMY ROBERT KEYS Jr.

I served with Jim in the U.S. Army in Germany and he and I were roommates. I loved him like a brother. I was down to Houston about 10 years ago;we had supper together and enjoyed conversation as we shared pictures taken in Germany. I will never forget his loyalty to the Longhorns and hook-em horns with fellow Longhorn fans. I would have come to the funeral if I could have arranged it in time. I'm sorry I never got to meet his sons and grandson. You probably have seen the service pictures...

Jim was the father in law of our daughter, Martha. We always looked forward to his visits. His smiling face & cheerful disposition will stay with us as we remember him. We shared, with him, a very precious gift: our grandson, Luke. As Luke grows up, Jim's legacy of love will continue in very special memories of all the fun times he had with "PawPaw" .

My Dad, Robert Turner, had the honor of being Jimmy's Football and Basketball coach in Freer in the 50's and always thought very highly of him. I even (as a 6 year old) remember those great teams and how much fun it was to be around all those great "kids" in Freer. My Mother asked me to see if I could find out how to contact the family, because she has something written about Jimmy by my Dad that she wants you to have.

I served with Jim in the Army - 1962-63 -in Augsburg, Germany, Division Headquarters, 24th Infantry Div. Jim had a lot of friends over there and I was honored to be one of them. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.
