Jimmy K. Lekander, 80, Barnum, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at his home where he wanted to be during his last days.

A Celebration of Life with lunch and fellowship will be at the Salem Mahtowa Hall from Noon - 3 pm on Friday, May 29, 2026. being planned in the spring.
A Jimmy Lekander Open Mic Gathering will be held from 5 pm - 10 pm at the Barnum Community Center with music and fellowship to remember an iconic legend!

Jim and my Dad (Russ Dahl) were close acquaintances. Jimmy would jam in our garage with my Dad occasionally. Jimmy and his band, at the last minute, played at our wedding reception in 1990. Jimmy was quite the character and was an overall great guy, who will be missed by all.
