Jimmy Long was a great man. A constant source of encouragement and support during the years of our friendship. He will be missed by the entire state of Louisiana. Our prayers are with Jim Jr and rest of family at this time.

Our deepest sympathy to Mrs Dot, Jim and family, for the tragic loss of "Mr. Jimmy". He was a great family friend and always there to help. He gave me my first job at Dixie Food Store bagging groceries on Saturdays. A man who loved his wife Dot, son Jimmy and family became an angel this week. Jimmy Long was a great friend to many, thoughtful, kind, caring, giving and excellent leader in the Legislature and State. He always had the needs of others and his community foremost in his mind and ways. He will be missed. May God be with you and know you are in my prayers.
