James “Jimmy” Wayne Mink, age 50, of Waynesburg, KY, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at his residence.


Jimmy was born on June 7, 1974 in Somerset, KY to the late Leonard Mink and Linda Eaton Mink.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, dirt track racing and working on cars.  Jimmy especially loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.


He is survived by four daughters, Kayla (Brandon) Cook of Science Hill, Jennifer (Sean) Denney of Eubank, Lydianna Mink of Eubank and Allison Cooper of Monticello; his fiancé, Tena Mitchell of Waynesburg; one brother, Jerry Mink of Monticello; two sisters, Lori Scruggs of Science Hill and Sherry Scruggs of Nancy; three grandchildren, Larayna Cook, Waylen Cook and Freya Denney; and several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews; and other family members who are saddened by his passing.


Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Linda Mink.


Visitation will be on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.


His funeral service will follow on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 1:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Erp officiating.  Burial will be at Acorn Cemetery.

Jimmy was one of my closest Friends and helped me through one of the most trying times in my life. I will miss him for the rest of my days on this earth. I love you Jimmison!! Save me a spot up there.

Jimmy was the first friend we made after moving to Eubank. A Great Friend.

We are heartbroken to learn of Jim's sudden passing...he was a wonderful friend and our renter for sometime...he was such a kind man always a joy to be around...he truly will be missed...will be praying for the family.
