Jimmy Dewayne Richardson, 79, of Clarkton, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home on March 27, 2026, surrounded by his family. Jimmy was born on January 7, 1947 in Clarkton, Missouri to Sam Richardson Jr and Helen Richardson.
He was a devoted member of Lynn Oak General Baptist Church, where he faithfully served in many roles including a teacher, trustee, and most importantly a deacon for over 20 years. His commitment to his church and his faith was evident in every role he held.
He spent his life farming, carrying on his family tradition, taking great pride in an honest day’s work. Sundays were a day of rest and especially meaningful to him. He spent time in church and gathered around the table with his family for Sunday dinners, reflecting how he honored God and put his family first.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 60 years, Kathy, their son Jeff (Susan), daughters Shelley (Matt) Swift and Keri (Andy) Sutton, 8 grandchildren, Kayla, Erin, Haley, Megan, Noah, Zach, Kaydon and Rylan and 6 great grandchildren Allie, Titus, Ella, Raegan, Josie, and Dallas. He is also survived by his sister, Betty, and brothers Sammy, Danny, Jerry, Terry and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, Junior and Helen Richardson, sister June Boone, sisters-in-law Shirley and Peggy Richardson, and nephews Brian and Kenny Richardson.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Monday, March 30, 2026 at Lynn Oak General Baptist Church in Clarkton. Funeral services will be held at Lynn Oak General Baptist Church in Clarkton at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 with Rev. Stephen Watkins and Rev. Randy Wiseman officiating. Interment will follow at Lynn Oak Cemetery in Clarkton.
Landess Funeral Home and Crematory of Malden is in charge of the arrangements.
