Coach Robinson was my hero from the very first time I met him as a 7th grader at Marshall JR HI,1963. I loved him like a second dad and that love never waned through all these years. He was my BB coach for 6 yrs. He was an outstanding Christian man who influenced my walk with God from an early age and certainly deserves his eternal reward. Rest in peace my dad #2. Phil Teakell

Jimmy Joe Robinson was a good friend, a fine basketball coach, and led an exemplary life. I can truthfully say that I never met a finer human being than he. It is with great sadness that I read of his passing, but if there was any human being who was more spiritually prepared to enter a new phase of existence, it would be Jimmy Joe. I extend my heartfelt condolences to his entire extended family, and most especially to Jimmy and Callie. I was truly blessed to have known Jimmy Joe Robinson.
