I'm Rev.Larry Mattingly (Peanut) WE ATTENDED Baptist Christian College in 1969-1972 I'm a pastor of a church in Benton,Arkansas. We love him greatly a great inspiration. I'm so thankful for him and family and the church alot of precious memories. So Thank you brother Tharpe

I found this site because I was looking up Lash LaRue on the internet and the entry described him as a "born again Christian," which I also am and my Wife. I saw Dr. Tharpe's name as the one who led Lash to Christ, and I just had to read about this man.

I am so glad I did. Reading just the entries on the first page made me want to sit at his feet and hear about Jesus, as all of these have done. What a blessing to have sat and learned. So many have left the faith and sit and listen...

Rev Jimmy Its Been Many Years Since our last chat i was 9 and in a boys home not to far from your church we used to go to your church every sunday and hear the story of the bear that you had stuffed i always wanted to go back and see you but years rush by in a hurry.Every Church that i have been to since has had big shoes to fill.You will be missed but time Flies ill get to see you again some day.to the family he was a candle in my life a memory ill keep with me always
