Jimmy Earl Turner, 74, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born July 4, 1951, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to Audie and Roxie Sullivan Turner. He was a foreman in construction, working at Rebel Rock Gravel Pit for most his life. He loved raising cattle and farming, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Services will be at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, October 2, the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Tim Winters and Bro. John Holliday officiating. Burial will be in the Union Grove Cemetery near Mooreville.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Diane Peoples Turner; two sons, Brian Earl Turner and John Isaac Turner; one daughter-in-law, Andie Turner Battles; one brother, Mike Turner (Wanda); two sisters, Dorothy Lesley and Joy Fay Timms; one sister-n-law, Sherry Turner; five grandchildren, Jayden Turner, Gabriel Turner, Jared Turner, Ella Turner, and Cora Battles.
He was preceded in death by one son, Matthew David Turner; three brothers, Robert Turner, Ray Turner, Billy Wayne Turner; two sisters, Clara Mae Turner and Lois Ann Turner; his mother and father-in-law, Walter and Audrey Peoples; and his parents.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Jayden Turner, Gabriel Turner, and Jared Turner, and Michael Gowdy, Jason Underwood, and Randy Holland.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home.
