JO ANNE ADLERSTEIN

I was a summer intern in the US Attorney´s Office in the summer of 1980, working directly for JoAnne . I learned so much from JoAnne and enjoyed every minute of it. I appreciated her mentorship and her great ( and irreverent) sense of humor . I became a prosecutor in the Manhattan DA´s Office and throughout my legal career and after , I´ve remained thankful for JoAnne and I send my deepest sympathies to her family .

Jo Anne was a wonderful mentor. She enabled me to gain experience in various areas of law under her tutelage. I remember there was an attorney's appointment with the British Embassy regarding his and his families visa applications scheduled on the day my Father-In-Law passed away. I had left the passports at my desk but was not picking up the phone and remained unreachable until my return to the office. Everyone searched my desk but was unable to find the passports.
