Jo-Ann Batts Davis

Jo-Ann Batts and I were children once, growing up in the quiet days of Wilson, in schools so ordinary they seemed endless at the time. Then, as it always does, life carried us off in different directions. The Jo-Ann I knew was a kind and steady spirit, and she is missed. I wish peace and strength to the Batts and Davis family members, and I hold her memory as one hold something simple and true from long ago.
