Jo Ann Skyles Russell

PITTSBORO - Jo Ann Skyles Russell, 60, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, at the Calhoun Health Services in Calhoun City. She was born Oct. 6, 1943, to Hayden and Loretta Pettit Skyles. She was a homemaker and a member of the Nazarene Church in Houlka. She was a former employee of Washington Furniture and Calhoun Apparel.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Bruce with the Rev. Robert Earl Alexander officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Chickasaw County.

Survivors include her husband, John R. Russell of Pittsboro; a son, James Stacy Williams of Houlka; her father, Hayden Skyles of Bruce; two stepsons, Alan Russell of Pensacola, Fla., and Heath Russell of Banner; a stepdaughter, Diane Russell Skyles of Bruce; a granddaughter, Jessica Dieann Williams; five stepgrandchildren, Matthew Skyles, Shaunna Skyles McCammon, and Nana, Caroline and Colton Alan Russell; two stepgranddaughters, Kalynn and Kaley McCammon; three brothers, James Michael Skyles, Stanley Skyles and Sidney Skyles, all of Bruce; a sister, Linda Bailey of Banner.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Robertson Williams, on Sept. 4, 1981, and her mother.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Skyles, Josh Skyles, Tracy McCammon, Jim Collins, Keith Kellum and Phillip Pettit.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
