Not sure what to say?

I have been friends with the Stroups since we met at Compassion International where we all worked. They lived just around the corner from me and were wonderful friends and neighbors. I am shocked to hear of their passing. I am so sorry for their loss and I offer my condolences to all of their family and close friends. What a great loss of loved ones we have experienced.

JoAnn and I started working at Compassion Int'l on the same day(exact day now forgotten) in the summer of 1980 (not 1982). She was always so kind to all she met and made everyone she interacted with feel special. I will miss her greatly.

Jo Ann never knew a stranger and was always so energetic in all her work at Compassion, where I met her shortly after starting in 2003. She was such a dear, loving lady. My husband and I were on a Sponsor trip with her as the lead to Peru and heard many on the staff in the country call her "Mama", which was truly shown in all her interaction with everyone. She and her husband will be greatly missed, but they are with their Lord and Savior.

So sorry Bob. Jo Ann's energy and love for people were obvious to all. I cam hear God, "well done my good and faithful servent"!. Al passed on 11 17 so know you two are enjoying the best place you have ever been!

Joannie not sure how you escaped without saying "see you later" and Bob you not seeing Mike and Jacob´s latest garage project but truly none of that matters bc you have seen our Lord. No turning back. Thank you for taking a risk on me and hiring me and for teaching me how to love and serve others. I´m forever thankful that God purposed for our paths to cross. You´ll forever be in our hearts so here is until we meet again.

This is so sad, and yet I know she is basking in the light and presence of The Lord. JoAnn and I met in 1980 when we worked in Assignments for Compassion when it first moved to The Springs. She was a ready smile and word of encouragement for all of us. She leaves a hole.

Fondly remembering Jo Ann and the loving care and compassion she showed to everyone who crossed her path, personally experiencing it on two sponsor trips she led. Extremely saddened by her sudden departure from this world, but comforted knowing that she is now in Heaven with her beloved Jesus.

So incredibly shocked and saddened to hear of Jo Ann and Bob´s passing. She was such a bright light at Compassion, and truly embodied what we were all about, caring so very much for the welfare of all those little ones. You will be so missed, my friend. Looking forward to seeing you again, and so glad you are both together.
