JO ANN YATES

I worked with JoAnn at Riverdale Elementary School and was so saddened to hear of her passing. JoAnn and I were friends first then collegues. She admired my work ethics and concern for children as much as I admired her determination. I could tell many stories of us riding in her car (while she puffed on her cigg) looking for homes of students who had not been to school. Knocking on wrong doors (in wrong neighborhoods) to her passing gas in my office (twice). We both just laughed and laughed...
