I was privileged to meet you and listen to stories of all the great stars of my era. Thanks for the autographed photos of you on winning the Miss America contest in 1942. Was amazed at your memory and sense of humor. I will never forget having lunch with you just 2 weeks before you left us. May the turf lay gently over you, till we meet again in our journey through life.

Please accept my sincere condolences. Jo-Carroll was very helpful to me while I was writing my dissertation on the swimsuits and evening gowns of the Miss America Pageant. I'm sorry for your loss.

Rest in peace Jo-Carroll. You lived an incredible life. I'm blessed to have met you. You will be missed.
