Just found this notice and wanted to send my best to Sierra, Emily and all who mourn the passing of such a great spirit!
One of my favorite memories was dunking in the Big Sur River first thing in the morning with Joey. What an invigorating way to start the day! Sending love and light.

I did not find out until today that Joey is no longer with us. She was a wonderful person with a huge heart.
She will be extremely missed.

I will forever cherish my friendship with you, you were like a sister to me. I can still hear your laughter, you were larger than life and you took care of everyone. Tony, Sierra, Emily and your grandchildren will never forget you and I know when then think of you it will warm their hearts.

I was fortunate enough to have met you. It was always such a pleasure talking to you. You were always so full of life! You will greatly be missed! Your family was fortunate enough to have someone like you in their lives....

The things we remember most about Joey are her outrageous sense of humor and her cut-to-the-chase take on things. Such a unique treasure and beloved character! So sad she's gone. Such a great loss for her family, friends and the entire planet.

My condolences to Joey's family, Tony and his family, at the loss of such a wonderful loving and giving person lost to you all and all of us; I am sure she will be very special in the next life we all hope to share. God Bless Joey and her families.
