Jo Ann Hister

Jo Ann Hister passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025, at her home in Jonesboro, Arkansas at the age of 87.  She was born on August 2, 1938, in Hope, Arkansas to Fred and Alline Alexander Willis. She is preceded in death by her parents Fred and Alline Willis, her husband Samuel Hister, one daughter Dorothy Stephens, six brothers and two sisters. Jo Ann is survived by two sons Dedrick Rattler of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Frederick Rattler of Jonesboro, Arkansas, four daughters Tonya Rattler of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Denise Caruthers of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Angela Rattler of West Palm Beach, Florida and Nicole Lewis (Timothy) of Port St. Lucie, Florida, four grandchildren, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 2:00p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola, Arkansas, with Elder James Crockett officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 12:00p.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola, Arkansas.  Arrangements are under the care of Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola, Arkansas.
