Not sure what to say?

To Jo's family. I noticed Jo's phone number in my phone today and googled him to find that he had passed. i was sad to hear this. I want you Claudia and family to know that i learned allot from Jo in my working career. He spoke from his heart as well as his brain, having the courage to uncover the things that needed to be dealt with. I admired him for it and in some ways he reminded me of my father. May his memories be blessings to you. Debra Quercetti

Claudia,
I only learned today of Jo's passing almost a year ago. Please accept my sincere condolences.
I remember Jo fondly from our days together in both high school and university. We last connected at a U of Waterloo grad school reunion in 2011. As always, I enjoyed the time we had to chat and catch up. Jo had an exemplary life as a dedicated social democrat.

Claudia Emma and Jackson,
I only heard of Jo's passing today from the Murrays.
I am so sorry for your lose. I remember Jo fondly as a no nonsense social democrat and all the political wars we fought together.
My deepest belated condolences.

Hello Claudia, Jack, and Emma:
I am so sorry for your loss. I just recently heard of J o's death from an email from Eleanor as,Connor. I'll be forever grateful for the energy, intelligence, and friendship he poured into my leadership campaign back in 1981/82. I am truly sorry we lost touch Thea last few years. My heart goes out to you. He was a great-hearted and intelligent man. Jim Foulds

I knew Jo at the University of Waterloo where he took in a lost soul like me and became my friend. He always took care of his friends including my husband Rick and we shared many heady experiences together. I am sorry to see him go and the family has my condolences.

Claudia, Emma and Jack,
Jo was a very special person - smart, kind, and brave. As undergraduates at UofW, we navigated the heady days of student radical politics, and the growing pains of the political science department. Later, as colleagues, we continued a lifelong friendship. Like you, I will miss him always. But I will also remember his kind smile, his wit, and his strengths. love from Sandra

Claudia, I wish to add my deepest condolences to you and Emma and Jackson. Jo was a wonderful mentor and friend to so many, including Sarah and myself. He had so much warmth, passion and generosity. Along with yourself he could always be counted on in any situation. We remember so well sharing meals and of course talking about such a range of topics. Our love goes out to you, along with our fond memories of Jo as a very special person in our lives.

Claudia - I am so sorry to hear of Jo's passing. My thoughts are with you and the family at this difficult time. May his memory live on in your hearts forever

Such a tremendous and significant influence in my life. I remember so many years ago - Margaret Laurence discussions, debating the NDP, convincing him to support WALRUS. A wonderful part of my university days. Peace Jo.
