Not sure what to say?

To the counselors at Camp Turner, Miss Joan was a true friend, grandmother, and confidant. You always had something to talk about and left her porch feeling better than when you stepped on to it.

To the campers, Miss Joan was magic. She could soothe the harshest wound with her deep concern, a little aloe, and a green rolaid.

I treasured corresponding with Joan when we were away from camp and feel privileged to share in her love of the natural world, Allegany, her family, and...

Looking back I have many great memories of the times we spent together at camp and after. Miss Joan always had a story to share. She warmed the hearts of many campers and staff members. We will all miss her dearly.

What a wonderful woman. I am sorry to hear this; I am better having known her.

Our thoughts and prayers are with her friends and family---
Miss Sheryl, Mr. John and the Camp Turner family

Camp Turner Song

Tell me why the stars do shine.
Tell me why the grove of pine.
Tell me why the sky so blue.
Tell me Camp Turner why we all love you.

Because God made the stars to shine.
Because God made the grove of pine.
Because God made the sky so blue.
That’s why Camp Turner we all love you.

Mom,
You will be missed by all but know athat you will always be in our hearts

Dear Family,

Ms. Joan and your families will be in the hearts and minds of Camp Turner Alum during this difficult time. Ms Joan was a wonderful nurse and a great member of the CT family. She will be dearly missed.

Miss Joan, we love you and will miss your generous love and genuine care that you have given us over the past 14 years. We hope you find the peace that you always brought to us.

To live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die.
