The Burgstahlers helped my grandmother, mom and uncle after their dad passed away all the way back in 1946. My mother (Barbara Keil at the time) never forgot this and just told me this story about a year ago. She also said that she named my youngest sister Joan after Joan Burgstahler. Thought this was a great story about some really terrific people.

I will always remember Mrs. Bridge as a wonderful teacher and mom who was totally passionate about educating and caring for children. Sadly, we have lost another great leader from our parents' generation. To my friend Chris and to the entire Bridge family, may I offer my sincere condolences during this most difficult time.
