Not sure what to say?

Miss Brown was my kindergarten teacher thirty years ago. I remember her as a kind, patient, firm and reassuring teacher. I also remember that she spoke in the third-person ("Miss Brown says...") which she must have understood was effective with small children. She understood children with great perceptiveness. I remember her classroom fondly. I ran into her at the drugstore when I was in college, I believe, and introduced myself-- she still remembered me and my parents with kind words. ...

Miss Brown was my kindergarten teacher ('63). I remember her fondly. She possessed all the attributes one would hope for in the person who would be your first experience away from your home and parents and your introduction to the education process: Kindness, patience, a nurturing nature and a love of children and teaching. It was a Blessing to have had her as my very first teacher. Sincere condolences to her family.

Miss Brown was my teacher 51 years ago at the Legion Hall in S.L.; she was caring, thoughtful and kind. She taught in such a way that kept lessons fun and we still learned. Every time I saw her over the years, dozens of people would say hello to her and she remembered all of us. I will miss the wonderful lady who taught me how to tie my shoes when no one else could... My heartfelt sympathy to her family and friends.

'Miss Brown' ,was my teacher more than half of a century ago. Simply : THE BEST EVER ! I will always remember her .

Ms. Brown was my Kindergarten teacher at WSL in 1975. She was a warm and thoughtful teacher who helped this shy, quiet little girl feel more comfortable. I ran into her a few years ago at a local supermarket and said Hi to her. When I told her who I was she remember me. She was a kind person and someone who was born to be a teacher. To her family... I am so sorry for your loss. She was certainly a gift to you all and her students. She will be missed.

She was a very special lady and will miss her special smile.

Joan was a wonderful, active, creative person who put others before herself. She was a great lady and Marion and I will miss her; but we'll think of her when we look at her cottage every day.

So many great memories to cherish of a dear friend - singing, laughing, sharing, praying and enjoying her wonderful presence in our lives. We will always remember Joanie. With love.

What a wonderful women. RIP Joan, I will miss our conversations and the stories.
My condolences to your sister and your extended family.
