Joan ("Den"), you are missed every day but especially today as you spend your 1st birthday in Heaven. I hope that you are celebrating with your family and your beloved pets that went before you. Thank you for the almost 60 years we had together as best friends. Nobody can take your place in my life. So even though we could not fulfill our Westminster Oaks duplex 'old age' plan, save a rocking chair up there for me and we'll continue our long talks and laughs someday. Love you and miss you....

Joan, It is still hard to believe you are gone. I know you are in a better place now and out of all the suffering you went through. I will always remember our friendship and the many gracious acts of kindness you did for me over the years. Your grand dogs, Tucker and Lucy, are only in my life thanks to you. Gretchen and Buddy miss you I'm sure, but will be taken care of. I know you have Rascal with you again and are watching over my Ginny and Bart.
