Sincere condolences to family and friends. Just the other day, I came across photos that Joan had taken of me when I was a small child. I also came across an ashtray she made in ceramics and I remember it being on my parents' coffee table when I was young. It's a signed "Joni" Carpenter original! There´s a special place in heaven for Joan Marie Carpenter! She was referred to as the "church lady of Assumption Parish". Every day for as long as her health held out you would find her at church...attending Morning mass, followed by volunteering to perform all sorts of janitorial duties... watering the plants and shrubs around the church, sweeping the sidewalks, dusting the interior of the church, making sure the restrooms were always clean.... and the list goes on. She loved Assumption...

Our condolences on the passing of your Sister and Aunt. I always missed your presence at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish and was happy to bring the Eucharist to you at the Watermark. You always did so much for your parish because you loved to help!
