Joan Potthoff Cronin

My heart goes out to the family of Joan and John. Joan hired me as a temporary attorney in the midst of the savings and loan crisis and then offered me a permanent position in her new department. She was a wonderful mentor and kind person to work for, but she kept the division hopping with her quick, clever, and brilliant mind. I can still see her walking down the fourth floor corridor from her office to the second floor. I am sad to hear of her passing but I know she was comforted by her...

I am so sorry Julia, Bridgette and Roxanne, and your families, that you have lost your wonderful mother, and father. I imagine you are reeling. Joan hired me right out of law school and set me up for a wonderful career. She mentored me and ensured I knew how to be a lawyer. She used to cover my memos with red marker in editing my work and said in my first performance review that my writing was "stilted and awkward". She was right, and without her guidance who knows how short my legal career...

What a life this woman led!

John and Joan were always a great couple. May they find eternal happiness in heaven together.
