My deepest condolences to my Dalton cousins for the loss of their beloved mother. Aunt Joan was many things to each of us. From Girl Scout leader to trusted adviser of all things medical. When I think of family parties when I was young, I remember two things..
The first was how everyone was bigger than me (especially the Jacksons they were like trees.)
And the second was Aunt Joan. No matter how busy she was, she always took the time to check on me. And that never changed.

This was the emergency contact number attached to the school records of all the Jackson kids through their school years. Dial it and Aunt Joan would pick up. That gives you a sense of how woven through our lives she and all the Daltons were. It's comforting to know that she and Jack are reunited. Best to all my cousins. Love, Mark Jackson
