Joan was so lovable! And kind, and welcoming, and ready to laugh! I knew her for many years through the peer counseling community. She was a generous listener. We loved to talk about food and I often think about her when I make one of the recipes she shared.

When I moved back to Cleveland in 2003, Joan became my liaison to Cleveland's peer counseling community. She was so kind, loving and inclusive, always making me feel like I was someone special to her. She worked hard to make everyone feel that way and was a key leader and teacher of our community. Joan was always a hoot when it came to yoga retreat! She would always make a fashion statement and dress from head to toe to cover up from the sun. I loved her and her sincerity and the spontaneous humor we enjoyed. Blessings All, Andrea.
