Not sure what to say?

I worked with Joan for 4 years as part of the Spa Day for Women with Cancer at the JCC. I remember Joan as a spirited, independent woman with a zest for fashion, a passion for whatever she was undertaking and a truly compassionate heart. Her spunk, verve and smile will be truly missed. My condolences to her family and friends.

I was a client of Joan's at Roosevelt, and saddened to hear of her passing. She brought strength, humor, compassion and courage everywhere she went. I will miss her, but also celebrate her life today. What a beautiful and talented woman planet Earth has lost this week.

Joan was a truly generous lady. She brought happiness where she could and comfort when it was needed. It was a privilege to know and work with her. I will deeply miss her and appreciate the time I spent with her.

I worked closely with Joan for 5 years. Together we coordinated the fitness classes for women with cancer at the JCC in Manhattan. We also co-created the Spa Day for Women with Cancer. Joan was a delight. She always wanted to try something different or new. She made me laugh. I enjoyed her as a colleague and as a friend. I will miss her dearly. Caroline Kohles, Senior Director Health & Wellness The JCC in Manhattan.

I shared great memories with Joan- we shared offices and always checked in with one another every morning-with our weekend stories-I saw what wonderful things she did to help others-your presence at the Roosevelt will always be felt

Joan was a wonderful woman. She helped so many people. I will miss seeing her at St Luke's. I will miss planning cooking projects for patients with her. I will miss sharing fashion war stories with her. I will miss sharing a glass of wine with her. I will miss her.

Joan was a great friend and a great mentor. I will miss our little chats, her smiling face, and happy disposition. I will always be greateful for all she did to lift my spirits when I most needed it. I remember calling her crying after a blood test and somehow she not only comforted me, but also showed me the positive side when I thought there wasn't any. I love you Joan and you will live in my heart forever. Zulma Soto (New York, NY)

Joan, my neighbor. if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have known what to do. You're the reason I live the life I do today. You made THE difference in MY life and that of Andy, Jessica and Andrew. You embody the word HERO.
