I remember Ms. Deming, my 6th grade English teacher at Marian Manor Elem. School. She was always very kind to me...we shared a birthday. She was always on my thoughts and will be missed. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

But for you Joan, and your sister Jean, I'd never have made it thru 5th grade at Dudley, much less Ms. Stitt's Homeroom. Almost didn't make it to class the day I raced y'all on my bike while you were being driven to school; took a short cut thru an alley, made a sharp turn into the street and ran smack into a Dodge coming the other way.
