Such an incredible writer, so many were able to enjoy her wonderful works. Sincerest sympathies to the Didion family. May God be with all of you in your time of loss.

Rest in peace. Thank you for your words and books, so inspiring, raw, brutally honest and exquisite. Knowing you are with your husband and daughter Q, is a blessing you so deserve. You are respected and loved by myself, and I'm sure, many others. You are a national treasure Joan Didion.

I babysat for Quintana Q, 1978-79 in Brentwood Los Angeles. Joan was a remarkable Mom in all ways important. I obviously only had glimpses but it was all very real. Joan taught me simple recipes, how to love and care for orchids. John and Joan could never be more kind, more genuinely interested in my life, And were always very generous with their time and hospitality. I loved Q, I should have paid them
