Not sure what to say?

Joan's intellect, knowledge and capabilities in so many areas made her an outstanding citizen wherever she made her home. It is incredible to think of the far-reaching legacy she has left from her lifetime of successful involvement in so many fields. Joan achieved the one thing we would all like to have accomplished -- her life made a difference.

George and Family
Terry and I have wonderful memories of Joan during my years at Butler Manufacturing. We were always amazed by her energy and leadership in Kansas City. She was a great lady and will be missed by all of us. Our love and prayers are with you.

My deepest sympathy to all the Dillons & to all her friends who were so fond of her & admired her so. I am proud to have been among them, & so grateful to her for the work she did for the Smithsonian, especially the National Portrait Gallery, & for all she did for Chatham. What lovely memories I have! Fortunately yours, Pie

My deepest sympathy and condolences to the Family. Mrs. Dillon was always a special treat to meet and talk with on our rounds.

My deepest sympathy to the Dillon family.

It was the best and hardest test I ever had. She so inspired me as a teacher and also, along with Mrs. Atwood & Mrs. Robb, inspired me to go to Smith. The fruits of her historic...

My mother was an amazing woman who touched so many people's lives besides our own family. Please share your memories of her here. Thank you, Courtney

George--Our deepest sympathy in the loss of Joan. You and she made great contributions to the Kansas City Area and to the William Jewell College Fine Arts Series over the years. It was a pleasure to have known her. My best to you and family. Good remembrances of our days together in Liberty High School.

I wanted to express my Sympathy to the Family, especially Barbara Goodson(my former sister in law) on the death of Joan. I know that Joan and George both played an important part in you life, and will be missed. The entire family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
