JOAN C. DOLAN

Rest In Peace. You will be missed.

I first met Joan when she served as a School-to-Career Coordinator working under Jean LaTerz with John Zinkowski, Mary Shea, Danette Ingram and others for the Boston Public Schools. She was truly a "go-getter" always relentlessly looking for the very best educational and career opportunities that she could for her students. She will truly be missed by everyone that knew her.

Through many years of friendship with our dear neighbors, Chris and Dean and their children, we came to know Joan and Jim enjoying many laughs and stories over the fence, at backyard barbeques or as guests in their home. The joy Joan got from being with her family was palpable and one could not help but feel the same in her company ....always so welcoming and gracious. You will be missed as we try to remember "A mother's hug lasts long after she says goodbye"....with Hope and Faith and Love.

I worked with Joan for many years when she was a School to Career coordinator at the Dorchester Education Complex. Joan was a valuable member of our team and consistently went "the extra mile" for her fellow staff and her students. Joan was always upbeat, optimistic and creative both personally and professionally. I extend my sincere condolences to Joan's family.

Our condolences to Jim and all of the Dolans for this loss. Our hearts go out to our wonderful daughter-in-law Colleen our son Jim and grandsons Nate and Andrew.

Bob and I wish we could be there to offer our condolences. Our son Brian, will represent the Chicago Fitzgeralds. Joan was always a gracious and wonderful lady. Love, Paula and Bob

Lovely Joan was the brightest of bright stars in the Boston Public Schools. She was loved by colleagues and students. She gave everything every day and encouraged us all to do the same. The world has just become a smaller place. We will try to emulate her. Thanks to Joan and condolences to family members who shared her with us.
