Happy heavenly birthday to my dear cousin Joan. You will be in our hearts forever.

Ted and Joan Dorf were my first mentors when I joined the International Snuff Bottle Society in 1996. They became great friends. Joan will be greatly missed.

My sincerest condolences. I was lucky to have known Joan and Ted through our common love for Chinese Art and snuff bottles. They were great mentors in the field and encouraged the next generation of collectors to realize their full potential. I will miss Joan dearly.

Joan and I became fast friends a few years ago. Joan was an extraordinary woman and friend. We just didn't have time to do all the things we planned to do. I regret that we didn't meet a few years earlier. We were living in the same building but met at a book club meeting in our condo. Joan was modest about her accomplishments. Her greatest joy was being married to Ted and raising Caren and Mark. I've never seen such a devoted proud Mother. I will miss her very much. We needed more...
