Read MoreMy husband and I enjoyed friendly chats with Joan when she was going on her daily walk on Saverne Circle, where we also live. Joan always had a warm smile and always had time to say hello. We will miss her neighborly friendliness, and were sad to hear of her passing.

I was sorry to learn that Mrs. Ecclestone passed away recently. I remember how she kept the tradition of baking cookies each Christmas, and that she lived a simple life. My deepest sympathies to her surviving family. May she rest in peace.
