What a beautiful lady. I met Joan at Curves and she was so friendly and made everyone there laugh and enjoy her company. Also enjoyed going to our breakfast gatherings monthly and reconnecting with the girls. She will be truly missed by so many. God bless her and send his mercies on to the family.

I remember the many times she came to mine and Amy's apartment. She was always so sweet and kind. Beautiful inside and out. Just a wonderful soul, with amazing kids!
To Amy, I love you and I am so sorry. I know how much she meant to you. To the rest of the Effinger family - prayers of solace.

To the entire Effinger family. Joan was a very sweet lady and her loss will be felt by many. You are all in my prayers but one thing I am sure of is that she is with her Heavenly Father. Mike & Barb Gill

The brightest of lights has left us temporally. What a life well lived always with a smile and a hug to all. Joan’s number one priority was her Effinger and Ellison Families. The Ellison Ancestry Project lost a wonderful resource. Condolence to the Effinger family.

Joan was an incredibly positive, shining light. I was blessed to know her through her volunteering at the Wellston Center. She always had a smile on her face and was so selfless with those less fortunate. Sending my love and prayers to your family.

I was in the 1958 class of Mercy High School and was always a lovely lady to be around. Mary Anne (Fields) Hagedorn. Wentzville MO
