Joanie was always a breath of fresh air, at Seymour School and downtown. I could always count on her to be efficient, positive and honest. Amy when Dirty Dancing came out I remember your mom being adamant that you didn´t watch it! You were all so loved by her. I met Joanie at the Syracuse City School District. I could always rely upon her to get me an assignment daily. We became friends. She came to dinner, and we met several times for lunch at Panera. I will always associate Panera with Joanie. My deepest condolences on her passing. I will cherish my memories of her.

Dear family of Joanie. Your mom and I were friends since 7th grade. Then after high school even our kids went to school together. Then your mom helped several of my kids get started at the city school district. She was a terrific friend. I pray god welcomes her with open arms in heaven. Much love to all of you.
