Not sure what to say?

Just saw the passing of Mrs Faust in our Chapelle newsletter. She taught me English and introduced me to some amazing classics. My deepest condolences to her husband, children, grandchildren and sister. She was truly a blessing to her students.

My condolences to Joan's family and friends. She will be sorely missed by her academic friends. She was was a sparkling presence in the John Donne Society and beyond.

"The song is ended, but the melody lingers on..." My heartfelt condolences Very sad to know the depart of a fellow Marvellian. RIP. The Lord shall comfort us in our time of need. Dr. SURESH FREDERICK, Dean, Research and Development, Associate Professor & UG Head, Department of English, Bishop Heber College (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli - 620 017. Tamil Nadu India

I simply cannot believe that Joan has died. Cannot believe that she will be gracing the John Donne Society annual conferences every February. I have known Joan forever, that is after she starting coming to the Donne Society. The best person, wonderful scholar, a friend I admired and loved, love still. The world, and certainly the Donne world, will never be the same without her. I can't help the tears as I write it. I can still hear her voice! see her beaming and welcoming face, hear the...

I will miss Joan! I always looked forward to seeing her at SCRC. Her scholarship was exemplary and her collegiality matchless. My condolences to her family.

Dr. Faust was an incredible influence on me when I attended Southeastern. When I attended the first time, she took on the position of my academic advisor and when I returned years later, she took me in without hesitation. She encouraged me at every stage of my learning and, near the end of grad school, she nominated me to present my paper on John Donne (one of my personal favorite papers) to the entire English department. I have missed her since I graduated and I will continue to miss her....

Joan always had a smile on her face as she prepared to tackle her next task with energy, enthusiasm, and optimism. We remember too how often she spoke of her family, always beaming with love and happiness. Eva Gold and Thomas Fick

I´m so sad to hear this. I enjoyed seeing her at 10:30 mass at OLL. She taught me English at Chapelle. God bless the family.

To Mark and the family, My deepest sympathies to all of you for the lost of a wonderful mother, wife, friend, friend and teacher. As you know, I had the privilege of knowing Joan both at work and through organizations at church. My children sang in the children´s choir when she accompanied on the guitar (many years ago). In addition, she played guitar for a contemporary group that both my daughter and I participated in. And of course, the Ladies Auxiliary was another group where I...
