Joan R. Fitzgerald

Aunt Joan you will be missed by all of us. I am so glad you were able to make the trip to Texas a couple of years ago and that we had that time with you. I know that you are now safe in the arms of God and reunited with Uncle Bob. You sweet ways will stay with us and inspire us always.

I'll never forget Aunt Joan... she was really my great aunt and she lived up to that title well! I feel guilty I let the last 8 years or so go by without visiting or even sending a card. But i have fond memories of weekends spent with her, uncle bob, and of course the dog Ranger. My sister and I used to stay upstairs in the room with the two beds, and we'd drive aunt joan nuts when we'd slide down those stairs that were covered in that horrible blue carpet! we were never allowed to touch...

I'm sure Joan has passed those pearly gates in heaven and is smiling down on us all. Joan was my poor supervisor in the business office at N.Y.T. and had to contend with a bunch of characters who dearly loved her . I remember the night the dinner group went out to Lands End for dinner. Joan ordered duck flambe and lo and behold, the table cloth caught on fire. We had many a laugh over it. God bless her family.
