O'Neill Funeral Home - Cumberland Obituary

Joan Fleming, 82, of Cumberland, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones Thursday, March 9, 2023. She was the beloved wife of George H. Fleming. Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Helen (Norek) Ziochouski. Joan was a mathematics teacher at Mount Saint Charles Academy, Woonsocket for 17 years before retiring.


Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, John Fleming, David Fleming, Michael Fleming, and Jane Fleming, her grandchildren, Jordan Fleming, Brooke Fleming, and Marcus Fleming. She also leaves her sisters, Fran Williams and Maureen Ziochouski. She was the sister of the late Helen O’Donnell, Ann Langevin, and Paula Mongeau.


Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, March 28th at 10:00 AM at The Brothers of the Sacred Heart Retirement Center, 685 Steere Farm Rd., Pascoag, RI. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, 359 Daggett Ave., Pawtucket, RI.


In lieu of flowers, a donation to your favorite charity, in Joan's memory, would be greatly appreciated.
