Joan Esther Gabriel

I was a friend of Joan´s for many years. We worked together at the Greenfield DTA and had desks next to each other. We went on trips and hikes together on many occasions. I always admired how she pursued her many interests such as writing poetry, painting and visiting art museums, hiking and studying history. I always enjoyed her company and how much she spoke of her family with pride. I´m sorry that I lost touch with her when I moved out of the area but thought of her often.

Just learned the the sad news about Joan. Joan was a wonderful loving sister to her three brothers and sister, and she will be missed. In reading her obituary about her joy of the forest and hiking, both my brother Bob and I also enjoyed many years hiking.

We will keep Joan and her family in our thoughts and prayers.
